Here's a first look at the newest run of WilkinsGRIP BMGx2 Alu gripsets for all large Benchmade Griptilian folders. I got these finished up yesterday and have only had a chance to take a few pics, I will get more done asap but these are ready to sell and ship out today.

I have been able to reduce the price on these from previous runs without any compromise in quality – and the new Hunter Green color is fantastic.

In stock at this time:

• Hardcoat Black finish with your choice of anodized Alu Spacer in Hardcoat Black, Hunter Green, Intense Blue or Blood Red. How's that for choices?

• Blood Red finish with your choice of anodized Alu Spacer in Hardcoat Black, or Blood Red

• Hunter Green finish with your choice of anodized Alu Spacer in Hardcoat Black, or matching Hunter Green. This green color is really classy and really hard to take a good photo that shows the color correctly. This is a new color for me and I think it will be well received.

All grips are machined from 6082-T6 (AlMgSi1) Alu, which is harder than standard 6061, tumble polished then individually hand finished before being professionally anodized.

More Mini Grips coming Soon!

I started work yesterday on a new run of WilkinsGRIP BMGmini grips – all in G10 / G11. In addition to getting the layered ones back in stock, I also have more Sky Blue plus another, new layered color scheme in the works. I am also making Pale Green G11 – those have been sold out a while – and very few sets in Swimming Pool Green as I found another piece of the material back in my storage closet. Depending on how things go, I should have the grips ready for sale in about 2 weeks time!

Got these assembled and ready to ship yesterday. I did a last minute color change on the blue. Now the blue color is ... (drum roll) Intense Blue! These really pop, I'm not calling it intense for nothing. ;-)

I have Intense Blue with your choice of either a Hardcoat black, serrated Alu spacer or a Blood Red anodized, serrated Alu spacer.

I also did a small run of Hardcoat Black anodized BMG minis, these are also in stock with your choice of either a matching Hardcoat Black serrated spacer or Blood Red serrated spacer.

Alu Update!

WilkinsGRIP BMGmini grips in Alu didn't come back from anodizing this week ... Today is a holiday here in Germany and the company is closed tomorrow (Friday) so it will be middle of next week when I can pick up the grips.

I should finish the first run of WilkinsGRIP BMG X2 grips in Alu tomorrow and be able to drop them off for anodizing when I pick up the Minis. These are looking really cool.

All of my Alu grips are machined, then tumble polished to soften the sharp corners that are wear points for the anodizing, then each set gets a hand-satin rub and off they go for anodizing.

I will be offering the X2 grisets in Hardcoat black and Blood Red – plus one more color still to be decided. I'm looking forward to seeing how the minis come out in Prussian Blue. If that looks cool, I'll go with Prussian Blue for the large grips too. Otherwise, I'll pick out something nice!

I think the darker colors generally look better on the grips than lighter colors like yellow or orange.

I will also be having some large spacers done in Blood Red and offering those installed on on black gripsets.

Haas Mini Mill Update: Getting everything set up and working has – like everything knife-related – taken more time and cost more money that I planned. I expect to make my first parts next week. I have two very nice hydraulic machine vises I purchased with the Mini Mill (new price of the vises alone: $5000) that will allow me a lot more flexibility in my workholding. I also designed a custom subplate that will work with all of my other fixtures and allow more range for new fixtures. The plate is being manufactured now as it is too big to make on my machines.

Alu Minis are out for Anodizing

I got the next run of alu BMGmini grips out for anodizing today. Hopefully they will be done end of next week.

I went with the Prussian Blue but enough folks wrote wanting Coyote that I'm sure I'll be doing some in that color too. I'm also having some anodized with Hardcoat Black. A handfull of BMG X2 spacers are also being done in blue.

Today I started working on a run of BMG X2 grips (for the large Griptilian) in alu as well. I know some of those will end up Hardcoat black ... who knows what the others will be? I'm leaning toward Blood Red...
